The unique high-fired natural stoneware and disc design modifies the size and number of bubbles rising up to the surface from the bottom of the pot. Simply place it on the bottom of the pot and, when it begins to chatter on the bottom, reduce heat to keep liquids from boiling over. It fits most pot sizes and works in any liquid as the ideal pot watcher for cooking pastas, potatoes, other starchy foods, soups, vegetables, warming or scalding milk, and more. Made from high-fired natural ceramic stoneware, HIC Kitchen's Pot Minder Boil Disc is reusable, food safe, and heat safe to 1,112-degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the disc to cool completely before handling and cleaning. Rinse in clean water only, without soap, as it could leave a trace taste or scent.
